The CalAPA Strategic Plan

The California Asphalt Pavement Association (CalAPA) held a statewide strategic plan development meeting on March 21-22, 2012 in Sacramento to chart out a long-term strategy for success of the organization and the industry.


The vision statement that was developed was for CalAPA to become a stronger, more effective and cohesive organization uniting California asphalt producers and refiners and other industry partners in support of the industry.


The long-term goals developed included:

   Actively engage in public education and support of education about asphalt pavements.

   Positively influence policy and funding at the local, state and federal level.
   Develop and active, diverse and growing membership.
   Become California's premier resource for advancing technical knowledge about asphalt pavements
   Promote the usage of asphalt pavements

   Develop a strong, positive partnerships.

Association leaders met again on Feb. 16, 2016 at the offices of Vulcan Materials in Irwindale to review and update the plan for the 2016-2021 planning horizon. A summary of that plan is HERE.
